Listen with your feet.
Move towards the trees, then the water. A small change in position shifts the balance of the whole place. Stereo headphones reveal the direction most clearly.
THE MUSEUM OF UNHEARD PLACES
A miniature world. A sky you can change. A story told in wind, water and footsteps. Make a place that has never existed.
Step into the diorama ↓The last train has gone. The leaves are still talking.
Tap the map to move your listening point. Arrow keys work too.
A POSTCARD FROM NOWHERE
Give your landscape a name. Take the setting home, or send someone a place to listen.
Move towards the trees, then the water. A small change in position shifts the balance of the whole place. Stereo headphones reveal the direction most clearly.
Mute the rain. Let the leaves remain. Add each layer slowly; a convincing landscape often needs less sound than you think. The small dots let you hear what disappears.
Compare the same forest at dawn and midnight. The light changes and the birds become less active at night. A familiar arrangement can tell a different story.
BEFORE YOU WANDER
An instrument for imagination.
An invitation to pay attention.
This is a creative instrument inspired by field recording. Wind, rain, birds and footsteps are synthesized in your browser using filtered noise, modulation and oscillators. They are not recordings from real locations. Spatial listening uses stereo panning and a simplified distance model, not calibrated acoustic measurements.
Save stores one scene on this device, and Restore brings it back. Copy link includes the title, location, weather, listening position and muted layers in the URL fragment. Image postcard downloads a still SVG picture, not an audio file. It includes the scene title and listening settings.
Press Begin listening first; browsers require a deliberate action before playing sound. Check device volume and layer mute buttons. Use a current browser. Audio pauses when you leave the tab; press Begin listening to resume when you return.
The instrument does not request microphone or location access. Scene saves use your device’s local storage. Shared links and image postcards include the title you enter, so leave private information out.
